Change of Mind Returns
If you have changed your mind and wish to return an order you may do so by advising us in writing within 14 days of delivery with some exceptions (see below). We will ask you to provide a photo to show that your item is in brand-new condition, unopened and in the original packaging. Once confirmed we will work with you to have a carrier collect the goods for return.
A change of mind may include, but is not limited to, purchases where:
If you do not have the original packaging or your item has been opened and/or used we will not be able to accept your return. We do not refund outbound shipping costs and return shipping is at your own expense. Please note that we do not accept responsibility for returns that are lost or damaged in transit and we recommend customers retain proof of lodgement and obtain transit cover where appropriate.
Exceptions: The following cannot be returned due to change of mind: Any Furniture that has been assembled or partly assembled and then disassembled, Health and Beauty products (EG Baby wipes, diapers, nappies, creams, etc). Products that are sold in a vacuum or blister pack (even if unopened), any item that is no longer in the original packaging or has been used and re-packed. Any bedding items such as sheets, quilts, mattress toppers and mattresses. If you are unable to provide a photo showing your item is brand new and unused we will not be able to accept your return.
Any returns that are found to have been used or are not complete or in the original packaging will not be eligible for a refund.
Once we receive your return and verify its condition we will issue a refund to your original payment method within 5 business days. Please note that a 20% re-stocking fee applies
(Please note that return shipping must be via our designated carrier and we do not allow returns to be 'dropped off' at warehouse locations)
Shipping for Returns
Shipping for returns due to change of mind is the responsibility of the customer and items must be returned in their original packaging, in brand new condition and include all accompanying user manuals and documentation, and any included accessories and/or parts. Unfortunately, if you have used the item, assembled the item, discarded the original box or lost any of the included packaging, manual or parts we will not be able to accept your return.
The information provided on this website is for general information purposes and use only. Every endeavour is made to keep the product information complete and correct, however, the customer is responsible for ensuring the product they purchase is suitable for their specific requirements.
Despite every effort to provide accurate images of each product's colour and design, actual colours and design may vary slightly, due to different device screen settings, the lighting in the installation location, slight differences in product finishes over time and other factors. Appleby & Co will not accept responsibility for any colour or design differences that are not factory faults. In purchasing from Appleby & Co, you agree to accept the small risk that there will be a slight variation between the actual colour and design, and the representation on our website. In addition, please be aware that colours and textured finishes often vary between manufacturers; for example, slightly different shades of ‘White’, different degrees of shininess, and different looks and feel for ‘bamboo’ material.
Any returns for a product due to customer dissatisfaction with a finish (that is not a fault) will need to comply with the Appleby & Co Change of Mind Returns Policy Above
Faulty or Damaged Products
If you receive an item that has been damaged in transit or is dead on arrival (not functioning) please reach out to our customer service team within 10 days of delivery. We will ask you to provide photos or video to clearly show the problem and in the event of any parts or pieces that may be missing due to box damage, we will ask you to identify these using the assembly guide or user manual.
Where possible we will assist you with troubleshooting any assembly problems and/or provide replacement parts for any that are faulty or damaged/missing. If this is not possible, we may provide a replacement product. In the event a replacement cannot be provided due to stock limitations we may offer the option of return for a store credit.
Where an item is to be returned we will provide a postage label for this purpose (for items that can be sent by post) or arrange for courier collection. All items must be suitably packaged for return shipping, in the event you no longer have the original packaging you may source a suitable alternative, we will ask you for the package dimensions and weight to enable the collection to be booked.
Please note that all of our furniture items ship flat-packed and require assembly, some basic tools may be required and assembly guides are provided. We do not accept returns for damage caused to products by improper assembly
Manufacturer Warranties
Many of our products are sold with a manufacturer's warranty in the event of major failure within the warranty period. Warranty periods vary from between 3 and 12 months depending on the product (all electronic devices carry a 90-day manufacturer's warranty). Please note the manufacturer's warranty does not cover rust, mould or any damage as a result of weather conditions.
Many of our products are also accompanied by the promise of such services as Customer Support for technical troubleshooting or other issues. We encourage our customers to fully understand and take advantage of manufacturer warranties and Customer Support services. Should the manufacturer warranty and/or Customer Support services fail to rectify any problem, Appleby & Co. is prepared to issue a replacement product or provide a full refund of the purchase price at our discretion and by the preceding sections of these Terms and Conditions.
Special Limitations
Appleby & Co. can in no way be held responsible for any damage to or loss of any data, applications, programs, or other information stored on any electronic or computing products we offer for sale on the website. Recovery of any such data is not expressly covered under any Appleby & Co. warranty. In the event of an electronic or computing product that is returned to us for refund or a replacement product, Appleby & Co. can in no way be held responsible for any data left on any electronic or computing product that has been returned to us for refund or replacement. It is your obligation before sending any such electronic or computing products to us to carry out all necessary backups of any data or other information contained on the electronic or computing product
Appleby & Co cannot be held responsible for any damages, whether direct or indirect, incidental or consequential, arising from the sale of an electronic or computing product, including but not limited to the loss of personal or business profits, "downtime," loss of goodwill or business opportunities, damage to equipment, costs of data or systems recovery, reproducing lost data or programs, or loss of confidentiality. Appleby & Co. does not guarantee that the repair, replacement, or refund of any electronic or computing product comes without risk to the integrity of data, programs, or other digital data.
Appleby & Co cannot be held responsible for any damages, loss, or injury whether direct or indirect, incidental or consequential arising from incorrect assembly, inappropriate use or failure to adequately secure furniture or any other items purchased either directly from our website or through any marketplaces on which we trade. Please always use appropriate wall or ground fixings to ensure furniture does not topple, do not climb on furniture and in severe weather ensure any outdoor items are adequately secured.
